The EPA Environmental Research and Business Support Program is searching for an EPA Toxicant Exposure Research Associate with the Office of Research and Development at the EPA facility in Chapel Hill, NC. The Research Associate will assist in laboratory experiments aimed at identifying molecular and epigenetic mechanisms associated with adverse outcomes of pollutant exposure and biomarkers of susceptibility to the effects of pollutant exposure. The job is expected to begin July 2016.
- Full time, $20.65/hour
- Must have earned a Bachelor’s degree in biology, cell biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or related field
- Must have experience with general laboratory skills, scientific literature searches, laboratory research, and polymerase chain reaction (PCR)
- Will perform tasks such as conducting in vitro pollutant exposures, examining epigenetic modifications, and assisting with clinical study operations
