Join the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Texas State University and engage in a traditional research experience while exploring how basic research contributes to molecular innovation, entrepreneurship and economic development in the molecular sciences!
Students will be participating in interdisciplinary group study into innovation and entrepreneurship guided by faculty from the College of Business and the College of Science and Engineering’s program in Material Science, Engineering and Commercialization. Since less than a quarter of Ph.D. chemists are employed in academic settings, this unique combination of research and innovation training will provide students with a broad basis of understanding both academic and industrial research that is lacking in most academic research environments.
