The University Honors College is hosting two fellowship and scholarship writing groups this summer. These groups are intended to assist students prepare competitive applications for the Fulbright Fellowship and the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship. General guidelines about these fellowships will be discussed and writing deadlines will be established for the participants. Undergraduates entering their senior year, and eligible graduate students, are invited to attend. For eligibility please check the appropriate fellowship website provided below.
The National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program
The NSF awards three-year scholarships for graduate study in mathematical, physical, biological, engineering and behavioral and social sciences, including the history of science. There are Graduate Fellowships, women in engineering, and women in computer and information science awards. Applications are available online and the deadlines vary by discipline but are generally due in early November 2011. The NSF GRFP writing group will meet on Wednesday, June 20th at 3:00 pm in 107 Capen Hall (Honors College Colloquium Room inside the library).
