The Campaign for America’s Future (CAF) and the Institute for America’s Future (IAF) seek interns who are well-organized team players with a commitment to and interest in progressive issues. Interning with CAF/IAF is a great way to gain real world experience that could lead to a career in issue advocacy, public policy, public relations or many other public interest fields. Interns will work with one or more of the following teams:
Communications / Media Relations
Fundraising / Events
Economic Reform
Labor / Jobs
Online / Web Communications
Progressive Message / Conservative Failure
Policy Research

Conduct internet research and write reports
Draft letters and respond to e-mail inquires
Attend rallies, press conferences and other events
Support program staff and assist with front desk responsibilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
Strict attention to detail and ability to follow oral and written instructions
Knowledge of data gathering techniques (library and Internet research)
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook computer programs
Ability to operate standard office equipment including but not limited to computers, printers, copiers, etc
Knowledge of political issues a plus
$8.25 hr.
