SUNY LSAMP 2012 Summer Research Program at UB

The SUNY LSAMP 2012 Summer Research Internship Program (SRIP) will begin on May 29, 2012 at the University at Buffalo (UB).

Program Highlights:

  • 8-week program for undergraduates in Science, Technology, Engineering  and Mathematics (STEM)
  • Weekly meetings
  • Student research presentation
  • Research Methods Workshop

Participant benefits:

  • $3,000 stipend for off-campus participants

OR

  • $2,000 stipend for on-campus students including room and board
  • Food allowance for all students

Eligibility

  • Full-Time Undergraduate Students who have completed a minimum of 30 credits
  • GPA 2.8 or better
  • Demonstrate an interest in research in a STEM discipline
  • Must be US or permanent citizen
  • Member of a group that have been traditionally underrepresented in STEM disciplines

Application Checklist

  • Submit completed LSAMP Summer Research Program application by  March 19, 2012
  • 2 completed faculty, staff and/or advisor recommendations
  • Updated Resume
  • Typed Personal statement
  • Official College/University Transcript(s) (University at Buffalostudents do not need to provide a transcript)
